What does a painting commission entail?

In the realm of art, a commission involves the request for an artist to craft a piece of artwork based on specific requirements or specifications, encompassing design, color scheme, and size.

What information do you need?

To facilitate a seamless consultation for your custom piece/s, kindly provide the following details when reaching out to me:

1. Size: Specify the exact dimensions of the desired painting and measure the intended hanging area.
2. Design & Color Palette: Choose the subject matter, explore my previous works for inspiration, and share photos or visions of preferred colors. While I can't replicate sold works, I can make adjustments. Additionally, send a picture of your interior space for tailored color suggestions, and expect preliminary sketches for your approval before commencing the commission.

3. Framing (optional): Indicate if you wish to have the commissioned painting framed. I can check for pricing and availability, but note that framing costs are separate.

What is the payment process?

To initiate commissioned artwork, a non-refundable 50% down payment is required once the design is approved. Upon completion and your approval of the painting, the remaining 50% payment and shipping fee must be settled before delivery. You'll receive photo updates throughout the painting process.

*Once the commission process is underway, please be aware that cancellation or withdrawal is not permitted.

How will I receive my artwork?

Shipping fees will be determined based on the size and weight of the packaged order. Alternatively, feel free to request a quote from any courier of your choice.

*Please note that Leigh Emmanuel Arts and Paints retains the right to decline a commission request if I cannot fulfill the client's specifications or meet the specified deadline for the requested work.
